On December 23rd, 12 hours before boarding a flight, Madison saw Forest’s smile on Hinge she couldn’t wait to connect.
This started a two-week long conversation, texting back and forth every other day, eager to see the other’s name pop up on their screen.
Their first date was on January 6th, 2022 at The Matador in Ballard (where Madison did not understand that in Washington, chips and salsa do not come free). They talked about everything from Water World to family traditions, and didn’t want to leave each other’s side for a moment.
Every relationship is full of firsts….
Nervous, but incredibly obsessed with Forest, Madison asked for their first photo together on February 12, 2022.
The first show they saw together was Wayfarer.
After an incredible three months together, Forest and Madison said “I love you” at a dive bar in Capitol Hill, Linda’s. Where they remained cozied in their own booth, both on the same side of the table, scrolling through songs together.

Every anniversary was spent at their favorite restaurant Rupee.
Couples costumes every year ranged from fitness instructors, to Sci-FI icons Ripley and Macready, to Poison Ivy and a glizzy (?), and finally, the ultimate couple, Gomez and Morticia Addams.

Their first big trips together were to a weddings of long time friends.
Their first trip out of the country was to Vancouver.
Their first trip out of North America was in May 2025. Forest and Madison trekked across the globe to Scotland, where they experienced seven days in the highlands hiking and tasting whisky. On a remote island off the eastern coast NAME, Forest proposed on May 28th 2025, amongst 52,000 breeding pairs of puffins
